A packrat at heart, Yasmin (yep, she kinda has my name) of Yaslani has managed to make art out of her vice. Using found objects, bamboo, ephemera, old paper, acrylic, gauche, pencils, pens, ink, glitter…anything that cross her path, she creates bamboo pendants and mixed media paintings.
Stepping away from a corporate job, Yaslani is Yasmin’s creative outlet. With influences from pop culture to color, music to animals, fashion to movies, magazines and a variety of other artists, she considers her art to be an aesthetic conversation with no heavy underpinnings.
