Planning the 1st Birthday Party

On this rainy Labor Day (hope you’re having a good one), I’m taking the time to plan and send invites for baby girl’s 1st birthday party. Since it’s only 13 or so days away, I thought it best I get the supplies ordered by weeks end.

We got this catalog from 1stwishes.com that had all kinds of party ideas… princess, Minnie, safari, elephants… well, you get the picture. I loved several of the ideas in the catalog, but ran by Party City just to see if there was anything else that caught my eye with no luck.

So, I’ve narrowed down the list of themes to the following three from the catalog. Help me pick one!

First Option

Sweet Tweet Bird Pink - 1st Birthday Deluxe Party Pack for 8
Aren’t these sweet little birdies – mama and baby birdie together, but doesn’t seem like much of a “1st birthday” theme…

Second Option

Sweet Safari Pink 1st Birthday Ultimate Party Pack
The Safari theme would go just great with all the giraffe stuff we’ve bought her throughout the year (including a particular giraffe gift we have in store for her – sorry – no spoilers…)

Third Option

Look Whoo's 1 - Pink Deluxe Party Pack for 8
I’m really leaning towards the owls. They’re just so cute!

I still haven’t checked indie designers on Etsy to see if anyone has ready-to-ship plates and napkins, but that’s my next step. If you have any suggestions on shops, please let me know!

So far, what’s your vote?

I cannot go pass the owls – they are super cute. Although I like the colour scheme of the safari theme. Not very helpful I know.

I’m planning for the first birthday of my baby girl and I want to have a memorable day for her. I will be inviting my friends at that day. On the other hand, I do like the safari color scheme as well. May be why it called my attention – aside from the giraffe dinner plate.
