Did you see my color palette blog walk post yesterday? I had so much fun with it I decided to put off the 52 weeks post for the week and do another one today. I know I said I was cutting back on posting, but these are so quick and too much fun to do to pass them up. Today’s prompt? Inspired by art materials.

10 Abalone Teardrops by RockStash on Etsy

4 Rainforest Jasper Teardrops by RockStash on Etsy

5 Purple Crazy Lace Agate Pendants by RockStash on Etsy
These are all materials from my supply shop, RockStash, on Etsy. I have to admit, sometimes I have a hard time destashing supplies… As I photograph them for sale again, I’m reminded *why* I selected them. It wouldn’t be the first time if I said some never make it up on the shop after a photo shoot…

Great inspiration for today’s palettes! I love the colors you pulled out of these beads. Really makes you look at beads with a closer eye. That first palette is my favorite – would be great inspiration for me to use for making a bag!

Mmmm, these are goooorgeous, Yazmin! The purple palette is calling to me the most, but all are great. And I do the same thing when I destash – sometimes I forget why I liked them, till I see a great photo. :)

Another great set of palettes ;) I like the purple one best too, but there’s also something about the rainforest jasper that is really appealing ~ I’m not surprised you’re reconsidering the destash!
These are lovely… I wish I’d read this yesterday when trying to find a palette for my fictitious magazine cover I have to design for me next Uni assignment. I love the top one putting the greens with the blues and browns really works. Thanks for sharing.

Love the different shades on the Purple Crazy lace agate. Purple is a great all year round colour and I love to use it in my designs when I can.
Thanks all! Brandi’s blog walk has me thinking of all the different colors that can be pulled from supplies. I may do a color palette based on one stone before I start a project next time to see where it leads me.
Looks like everyone has had as much fun as I did this week. :)
