There’s no easy way to say this, but since I announced my pregnancy, I should also announce its termination. On Tuesday, I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy. I was ordered to go to the emergency room right away for a laparoscopy. (That’s where they make three incisions on your stomach – one in your bellybutton to put a camera in and two in front of your ovaries and tubes to remove the pregnancy.)
In my case, not only was the tube pregnancy removed, but so was my right tube as well. By the time I had my surgery on Tuesday evening, the tube was far too scarred to keep it in. The risk of a repeat ectopic pregnancy was too high. The doctor also said the area bled so much that he would have been surprised if I lasted one more day without a busted tube. From what I’m told, I was spared a lot of pain.
I was released yesterday morning and J has been taking care of me. He’s been wonderful. Tomorrow he goes back to work and I try and live my day like normal.
Even though we know that all things happen for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose, it’s still a sad time in this house. We were so very excited.
But I still have another tube! And in 8 weeks we get to try again. Now that’s good news.

I’m very sorry for your loss. As upbeat as one can be..it’s a tremendous blow and I send prayers your way. Who knows what life God has chosen for us..but I pray that a child is in His plan for you.
