First Week of Insanity is Over!
… And boy, am I tired! Every day has been a challenge… even the Cardio Recovery day, which was supposed to be a rest day, left me drained.
Don’t think I shared with you the results of my Fit Test from Day 1. Just so happens I found my Fit Test from August 2011 (did I mention I tried to do this workout then, but had to stop because I got seriously sick?) Clearly my fitness has remained stagnant from then until now:
| Move | August 2011 | Day 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Switch Kicks | 87 | 51 |
| Power Jacks | 25 | 33 |
| Power Knees | 93 | 90 |
| Power Jumps | 20 | 16 |
| Globe Jumps | 6 | 6 |
| Suicide Jumps | - | - |
| Push-Up Jacks | - | - |
| Low Plank Oblique | 15 | 16 |
Notice the lack of suicide jumps and push up jacks. It’s not for lack of trying. Simply, I can’t seem to jump back to a plank on my suicide jumps. Hurts my back a bit. On the push-up jacks, well, I think you should be able to do a pushups before you can claim you’ve done a single push-up jack. To think I averaged 40 on my Army PT tests. I’m sad to see how badly I’ve mistreated my body all these years.
My next Fit Test is a week from tomorrow. I’m so very excited to take it! I can’t imagine with all the work I’ve done not improving on my results.
How are you doing with your fitness goals?

Wow this is awesome!! I’ve heard a lot about Insanity and I wonder if I should check it out but it looks so hard. I am so psyched for you!! You are doing awesome!

Oh please Holly! You’re rocking the CrossFit! Insanity would be nothing for you. ;) Definitely stick with a group to do it though… so much easier if others are depending on you. (I’m enjoying your blog a lot, btw, even though I may lurk more than comment…)
