Inspired by Sweet Georgia Peaches

Peaches #1

It’s peach season here in suburbia Georgia.

Sliced Peaches

While the Georgia Peach Festival has come and gone,
peaches are still in season well into October.

With peaches come sweet thoughts of peach tea…

peach crisp

And who can forget… peach cobbler.

But peaches also bring me another kind of inspiration…

Thoughts of fire opal agate

pearls

and carnelian colored pearls.

And you? How do you find inspiration from the season…through colors, through shapes, or is it something else?

  • Right now I feel inspired to eat peaches! The inspirational stones are lovely. I think I am most inspired by colors when it comes to beadwork.

Those peaches are lovely and yummy looking. I want some so bad right now.

And it’s pretty obvious what inspires me. :)

  • We’ve got peaches and nectarines in our supermarkets/grocery stores at the moment….all imported of course! Plums and deep red cherries too. Its wonderful to know that many people are inspired by things around them – my garden/the colour of the sky/fruits/veggies……long list ;p Hope you’re doing good and not getting too tired as the big day draws closer :=D

  • Not surprised that most of us are color-inspired. :)

I also find myself thinking of designs based off of patterns I see in architectural scrollwork. Most of them just sit in my little sketchbook though. Should think about bringing some of those to life!

  • Wow, you have a real way of always making me miss Georgia. I’ve been talking to my other Georgian friend this morning and so wishing I could visit. Those peaches look so delicious and I love your bead choices.

Imagine if I was a busybody and actually stepped out a lot! Lucky for you I tend to be house bound… Like to save money in gas. ;D
