Merry Christmas · 12/25/2009

I’m writing this a day early, because I know I will probably still be up wrapping presents when this posts on the blog. (At heart, I am my mother, the procrastinator.)

Grateful 356

So while I’m finishing all my last minute cooking, wrapping presents and packing them up into the car to drive over to my friend’s house for our families to enjoy their Christmas morning ritual, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

And may you receive the best gift of all…

“The Gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ Our Lord.”
~ Romans 6:23

What Christmas Time Means To Me... · 12/11/2009

We (finally) put our Christmas tree up and decorated the house yesterday. Funny thing is, I forgot how intensive it can be to decorate…not to mention, it took me about 2 hours to even get to the decorations because: a) I had to clear a path in our garage to the ornaments and b) I got sidetracked when I found my high school yearbook. Go figure.

The best thing once we got started though, was finding the nativity ornaments we picked up at Hallmark during the after Christmas sale last year. It was like getting an early present!

Grateful 346

Jason and I love nativity sets, but really you can only have so many in the house before your home starts to look like a store. So these nativity ornaments really fit the bill as far as size goes. You can never really have enough reminders that Jesus is the reason for the season, so we’ll definitely stop by Hallmark again after Christmas this year.

And after all that work, look who was tuckered out…

Should have been a postcard...

I don’t blame him…I was ready for bed shortly after dinner. But it was worth it ‘cause now it really feels like Christmas time around here. It’s our favorite time of the year!
