My 1001 Day Project ends on Friday, October 1, 2010 in .
Been quiet and slow paced around here lately. However, it’s giving me a chance to really get some things done and hunker down for the rest of the year.
That doesn’t mean that I’ve been doing nothing, though! Check out the earrings I just finished for one of my customers:
Much darker than the pair of earrings they are modeled after, but as far as I’m concerned, they are even more captivating and exotic. Can’t wait to hear back from her when she sees them!

Just wanted to share a quick collaboration with a friend of mine. She was kind enough to accompany me to a gem show earlier this year…even though she had no idea about anything dealing with gems and jewelry. I thought that was sweet of her.
While we were there, she asked me if I could make a necklace for her mom for Christmas. I, of course, was excited at the prospect and said “sure!”

So here we are! I call it “The Betty Rubble”. Fitting, right? I love how it came out. Almost makes me want to make chunkier pieces of jewelry…but my love is dainty at heart. :)
Now the question becomes, what do I do with the remaining pieces of fire cherry quartz. They’re awfully big! Any suggestions?

I recently had another custom order…a few last minute gifts for the bride I made these lovelies for:

(I couldn’t remember if I had shown those on the blog or not.) So, when she said she needed a few more gifts, I was pleased to oblige:

I do think they came out great! I’m sure she’ll be excited as well. :)
